Welcome to Hebron Kidz Blog~
It's a new month which means new learning opportunities for children on Sunday mornings.
What are we talking about this month?
* 2s and 3s Jesus is With Us When We are Scared
Jesus is Alive!
* 4s and 5s Finishing up Zacchaeus
Jesus Gives Us New Life
* Children and Worship Lenten Puzzle; Jesus the King; Jesus Last Passover; Woman Anoints
Jesus; Too Afraid to Follow Jesus
* K-5th Graders Forgiveness --
Deciding that someone who has wronged you doesn't have to pay.
John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that who ever believes in Him will have eternal life."
When we forgive others, it is a response to that great love and forgiveness that God has shown us. Forgiveness means letting go of what someone else has done to us in order to restore the relationship. Isn't that what God did through His Son Jesus? He knew that we couldn't restore the relationship on our own. And He loves us so much and wants to be in a relationship with us that He sent His Son -- our Savior and Lord -- to restore our relationship with Him. Remember Genesis 3:8...God was walking in the garden looking for Adam and Eve!
Things to think about this month with your children:
1. Forgiveness is a response to God first forgiving us.
2. Forgiveness is a way we can show others God's love for us.
3. Forgiveness can restore broken relationships.
4. Being forgiven can change the way we live.
All of this and much more can be found on our website: www.hebronkidz.org.
I want to make you aware of something New this Summer!!!

Welcome!
Welcome to the HebronKidz Blog!!!
Our desire: To partner
with parents and guardians to help their children come to know Jesus as their
Savior and Lord. We want your children
to grow in that relationship with Jesus Christ, too.
To help you, I will share general information that your child
will be learning during the month. You
can find more details at our website: www.hebronkidz.org
Quiz:
How many weekends does a child have from the time he is born
until the time he graduates from high school?
(See answer below.)
I will tell you that it goes sooooo fast!
Why does this matter? It
speaks to the fact that weekends aren’t enough time with children to teach them
everything they need to know about Jesus Christ. It isn’t enough time for them
to listen, ask questions, and wrestle with the truths in the Bible…God’s words
to us!
At Hebron Church, we want to come alongside of our parents as
you: teach, listen, and pray with your
children allowing them the time to ask questions and to wrestle with God’s
truth.
Sometimes parents don’t know where to start or are looking for
new ideas. To help you, we have posted
on our website the lessons that
children will be learning weekly. These
lessons are posted monthly giving you the opportunity to read ahead with your
children. This gives you the opportunity
to read the Bible together, talk about what God is saying and how it applies to
everyday life and to pray together.
On the website you will also find a weekly devotional and a
parent cue card which simply helps you talk with your child about how to
connect God’s word with everyday life.
A look at February:
·
2s and 3s: Jesus healing the Paralyzed
man.
·
4s and 5s: Zacchaeus.
·
Children and Worship: The Good Samaritan, The Sower, Jesus and
the Children and Zacchaeus.
·
K-5th Graders…
Children will discover that faith is
trusting in what they can’t see because of what they can see.
Unlike the disciples, we can’t
physically see the work of Jesus as proof of God’s love. But we can see all of the many other ways God
reveals Himself. Through the things we
can see, we can believe what the Bible says about God is true.
When we recognize God at work around
us, we respond to Him with trust. We
have confidence that He has a plan for our lives, and we are willing to take
risks to see that plan accomplished.
Even in our moments of doubt, God will show us something to remind us to
have faith.
Things to think about this month:
1. Faith is a response to what we know about God
from Scripture
2. Faith
is grounded in what we can see and hear.
3. Faith
is evidenced by the choices we make.
4. Having
faith doesn’t mean we’ll never doubt, but through doubt we can learn to trust
God even when we can’t see Him.
Love in Christ,
Ellen
